Elon Musk: “Tesla’s actions do not necessarily reflect my opinion”

Changpeng Zhao is surprised by Tesla CEO’s plea in favor of Dogecoin.

Musk also clarified that he does not own any publicly traded shares other than Tesla.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said his company’s decisions do not reflect his own opinion. He tweeted the comments after Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) spoke about his company’s purchase of Bitcoin (BTC) and the recent hype for cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE).

Elon Musk’s admiration for Dogecoin , a token inspired by memes, has surprised many crypto enthusiasts. His tweets have caused the price of DOGE to skyrocket on several occasions . In addition, Tesla has joined the list of companies that store reserves of liquidity in Bitcoin by investing $ 1.5 billion in whole cryptomonnaie market.

Elon Musk full of surprises

People are often advised to watch what billionaires do with their money, not what they say. Few people expected Musk to bet big on Dogecoin, but CZ hit the nail on the head.

“I’m surprised Elon Musk is so enthusiastic about Dogecoin,” he said in an interview.

CZ said he strongly believes Musk is not associated with Dogecoin, and added that despite Tesla CEO’s admiration for the asset, the company bought Bitcoin.

Musk responded to this comment on Twitter, saying Tesla’s decisions are not up to his opinion. He said Bitcoin is “a less stupid form of liquidity than cash and is adventurous enough for an S&P 500”.

Bitcoin’s controversial stance

Ultimately, Musk left a lot of people confused about where he stands today. He was previously known as a great critic of digital currencies. Today, he is considered to be one of the most influential supporters of Bitcoin.

Yet he tweeted that bitcoin is almost as bad as fiat. According to him, people are forced to think of alternatives due to the constant devaluation of fiat money. Mr. Musk pointed out, however, that the keyword for his tweet is “almost”.

The CEO also clarified that he does not own any publicly traded shares except Tesla (TSLA). When asked why he thinks Bitcoin is ‚terrible‘, he replied:

“Either way, a hashed text file using old crypto can be exchanged for real goods and services! Unbelievable „.
